Toronto, ON – Police are still trying to formally identify a woman who was found dead on Saturday. Police say that the victim was burned beyond recognition after blunt force trauma left her dead.
Reports have indicated that the suspect was charged with assaulting the victim with a weapon and uttering death threats in December and that he was out on bail with house arrest conditions when the murder took place.
Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, 30 was arrested at a Mississauga gas station and then charged with First Degree Murder on Saturday.
Residents from the area surrounding Eglinton Ave. and Martin Grove Rd. have told the media that the victim (reportedly named Bridget) lived with her mother and 2 children in an apartment complex.
